The Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee (TTOC) officially announced its landmark cultural partnership with Sekon Sta, also known as Nesta Boxill, Focus Management and the Soca Squad.

The partnership was the second such initiative, with Erphaan Alves and the song ‘Believe’ being the first cultural partnership created. Commissioned by TTOC Corporate partner Press Play Juke Box as a key part of their text donate campaign. Believe since its release has generated great interest and favourable comments.

This element of the TTOC strategic marketing objective is focused on blending culture and sports with the hope to increase enthusiasm amongst citizens and provide inspiration to the athletes. The ultimate goal is to achieve 10 or more Olympic gold medals by the year 2024 (#10Golds24).

Sekon Sta released his song ‘My World’ with a festive music video highlighting the general public and athletes. The production was a collaboration with Ken Sambury, Define studios, Focus Management and the Soca Squad.

The partnership between Team TTO and Sekon Sta is to “Provide encouragement, support, patriotism and good citizen’s values to our athletes and their pursuit to sporting excellence in Rio in August this year,” said Wendell Constantine, TTOC executive board member.

‘My World’ and ‘Believe’ are compositions created to boost the morale of both our athletes and citizens and to encourage our nation to download the songs.

‘My World’ is available to download at socasquad.com/myworld and a ringtone version of the song can also be downloaded from www.ttoc.org for free.
